2026 Chili Cookoff!

Chili Cook-off 2026 Join Friends of Ecole Agape for our Chili Cook-Off! Warm up your winter with some delicious chili at our Chili Cook-Off event on January 31, 2026, from 12-3 P.M. at St Philip’s Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Road Ashford, CT. For just $15 per person, you can enjoy a variety of mouth-watering chili recipes and support a great cause. All proceeds will go to support the only free girls’ school in Haiti. FEA donates Tablets to Ecole Agapé

In February, 2023, eight tablets with 1,000 “open source” books downloaded in French, Spanish, Creole, and English were sent to Haiti. The tablets have a digital library app can be installed on iPads and Samsung tablets. Paul Wicks, an emeritus member and consultant, demonstrated the use of the Reading Room’s App to FEA members at a March 2023 meeting. Students in library with tablets. FEA Annual Sponsorship Appeal 2023

Dear Friend, Thank you for your support of Ecole Agape with your generous donations, sponsorships, and attendance at our fundraisers. With your help students receive daily nutritious meals, textbooks, library books, tablets, computer classes, and internet access during the school year. Salaries for the teachers, the librarian, and staff not only continued uninterrupted, but funding for a school nurse and teaching assistants have been added. The conditions in Haiti have not improved. Gangs are increasing the violence of their attacks, kidnappings, and ransom demands. Vigilantes are killing anyone they suspect of being in a gang. New Addition and Renovations for Ecole Agape School

On August 2, 2020, Ecole Agape’s school construction began. Friends of Ecole Agape partnered with Haitian Turbo System SA and three other contributors to provide funds for a new classroom building and the repair of Myrtha Manigat’s house. Haitian Turbo System is an information system engineering company established by CEO Carl Darbouze (husband of Marie Michele Darbouze, one of the two school administrators).
